PHOTO AREA

Immortalize your great effort in our special photo areas! With themed backgrounds and great lighting, these areas are perfect for taking stunning photos and creating lasting memories of your incredible cosplay. Get ready for a close-up!

REPAIR STATION

Don't let minor wear and tear or damage ruin your cosplay experience. Our special repair station offers basic tools and help for last-minute fixes or unexpected costume mishaps. Drop by and let our team help you get back to your best look!

COAT CHECK

Do you need a special area to put on your spectacular costume, or do you want to leave your belongings in a safe place? Our designated dressing rooms and storage areas offer a comfortable and convenient solution, allowing you to enjoy the event hands-free.

DRESSING ROOMS

The dressing rooms are an important part of the event. We've set aside two large, separate areas for this purpose: one for women and one for men. Each room is equipped with makeup tables and a coat check, providing you with a comfortable and convenient space to get ready and store your belongings securely while you enjoy the event.

GG CONVENTION COSPLAY RULES

Do I need to buy a ticket to attend the event or enter the competition?

Yes, all visitors must purchase a ticket to enter the event area.
To participate in the competition, you must be present at the venue and therefore purchase a ticket.

GG Convention is an entertainment and experience festival that brings together cultures such as gaming, anime, manga, and cosplay.
You do not need to cosplay to participate in the event.

Unfortunately, you can only apply to one competition category.

We understand the manual labor required to use 3D printed products.
Therefore, when evaluating 3D printed products, we can consider the craftsmanship involved and classify them as handmade.

Reference images are required for our judges to make objective evaluations at the contests. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot accept characters that are not present or characters without visuals for contest applications.

During the preliminary round, our judges will review each participant.
They will evaluate the workmanship in categories such as costume consistency, originality of approach, creativity, and character resemblance.
Following these reviews, 20 cosplayers will showcase their skills at the Cosplay Champions competition on the Main Stage on Sunday.

To allow our judges to review and score your costume more objectively, you must wear your costume during the preliminary round.

COSPLAY CHAMPIONS PARTICIPATION RULES

Cosplay Champions is the professional-tier category of GG Convention, designed to highlight advanced craftsmanship, technical execution, character accuracy, and strong stage presence.

1. Age Requirement

Minimum age for participation is: 16 Participants under 18 must submit a parental consent form.

2. Eligibility

The participant must reside in Türkiye.

3. Costume Production Requirement

At least 80% of the costume must be made by the participant. Fully purchased costumes are not eligible for this category. The costume must not have won any awards in previous competitions.

The costumes and characters you submit for cosplay competitions must belong to an existing work and include a reference image. Original characters (OCs) are not accepted, as they may negatively impact the impartiality of the judging process.

4. Prop & Material Compliance

All props must pass Prop Check before entering the event area. Metal, sharp, pointed, explosive or dangerous props are prohibited. Airsoft props must comply with: Orange tip No battery No magazine Disabled firing mechanism Oversized or long props are subject to safety evaluation.

5. Stage Time & Performance

Maximum stage time: 2 minutes The following are strictly prohibited: Liquid of any kind Confetti, glitter, powder, dust Pyrotechnics / flames / explosives Smoke devices other than venue-approved fog machines Running, swinging props, or unsafe movements are prohibited.

6. Prohibited Content

Costumes or performances may not include: Political parties, leaders, symbols Real-world religious figures or sacred symbols Real military/police uniforms, ranks, or insignia Racist, discriminatory, or hateful imagery Pornographic or excessively sexual content Themes that violate public sensitivity or cause discomfort

7. Photography & Video

Photography or recording is strictly prohibited inside dressing rooms. Participants agree that event recordings may be used in GG Convention promotional media.

8. Organizer Authority

The organizer reserves the right to: Request modifications to costume/prop, Deny stage entry, Disqualify the participant, Remove the participant from the venue. The GG Convention General Cosplay rules apply to all cosplayers.

FUTURE HEROES – PARTICIPATION RULES

The Future Heroes category is designed for beginner and hobby-level cosplayers who are new to cosplay or have not yet reached professional competition standards.

1. Age Requirement

Minimum age for participation is: 16 A parental consent form is required for participants under 18.

2. Eligibility

Participants must reside in Türkiye.

3. Costume Production Requirement

At least 40% of the costume must be crafted by the participant. Partially store-bought components are allowed, as long as the overall appearance remains consistent and cohesive. The costume must not have won an award in any competition.

The costumes and characters you submit for cosplay competitions must belong to an existing work and include a reference image. Original characters (OCs) are not accepted, as they may negatively impact the impartiality of the judging process.

4. Prop & Material Compliance

All props must pass Prop Check before entering the event area. Metal, sharp, pointed, explosive or dangerous props are prohibited. Airsoft props must comply with: Orange tip No battery No magazine Disabled firing mechanism Oversized or long props are subject to safety evaluation.

5. Stage Time and Performance

Solo performance: Maximum 1 minute Squad/Group performance: Maximum 2 minutes

6. Prohibited Content

The following are not allowed: Political symbols or depictions of political leaders Real-world religious symbols or sacred figures Real military or police uniforms Racist, hateful, or discriminatory content Pornographic or excessively sexual content Content that violates public sensitivity or may cause discomfort

Prohibited on Stage

Any form of liquid Confetti, glitter, powder, or particulate materials Pyrotechnics or flammable materials Smoke devices other than the venue-approved fog machine Running, swinging props, or making sudden/unsafe movements

7. Photography & Video Rules

Photography and filming are strictly prohibited inside dressing rooms. By participating, competitors acknowledge that images and recordings captured during the event may be used in GG Convention promotional materials.

8. Organizer Authority

For reasons of safety, content suitability, or event flow, the organizer reserves the right to: Request modifications to costumes or props, Halt or cancel a performance, Remove a participant from the event area. The GG Convention General Cosplay rules apply to all cosplayers.
